Finishing my Essay document

My essay was in its final stages of writing. I had to plan how to structure the whole things to make it easy for the reader to grasp. This involved putting in the right visuals, some of them required to be made by me as infographics explaining, putting in a glossary where I am explaining key terms. I started making a list of terms I should explain to the reader. I took some ASK tutorials and Isabel from the Languages team was incredibly helpful during this process. I took around 3 tutorials with Isabel to refine my language and essay structure. Isabel was very thorough in reading through the essay. We restructured my introduction a couple of times  making sure it begins general and narrows down to Devanagari which is the main subject. While I am submitting my essay separately, I thought it would be good to just add its introduction here in my boards.

The language used in my essay would really help me in writing my manifesto as my essay essentially becomes the theoretical explanation of my entire project.

Through Martin’s tutorials and added help from Isabel from the ASK team I was able to focus my essay on Devanagari’s evolution, industrial impact and semantic interpretation of the script.

Making my essay document was interesting as I really got to design it. My focus was to make a very clean and minimal design with main focus on the text. The document is of 31-pages which include title, contents, list of figures,  introduction, chapters 1-3, conclusion, glossary, and list of references. Overall I am happy with my essay this semester and now I can move on to finishing my manifesto text.

Here's my final essay document.
