Neu - Neurodivergent Efficient Utility

Neu is an integrated app in online work systems such as Teams and Slack that aims to improve communication and understanding between colleagues and increase awareness and advocacy for accommodations needed in the workplace to create an inclusive environment. The idea behind this app is to make the workplace a more efficient environment for people with invisible disorders and provide them a platform where they can communicate their needs effectively without any judgement.

The colours used in the app are muted and pastel tones to avoid any sensory overload to our users with invisible disorders. The typefaces used are also clear and legible fonts that dont require a lot of focus to read and understand. The home page features the employees’ name and their ID along with their personalised DP.

6 distinct icons appear on the screen.

- Requests - This service enables users to request accommodations from their boss/ HR or fellow employee. It ensures that all accomodations and requirements are shared in complete privacy. For the employers, they can view the requests they have received which are in turn color coded in red and green indicating the urgency of the situation and proceed to resolve it.

- Mindfullness - This user experience is designed to assist you during a stressful day at work - days when you feel overwhelmed. You can choose to have a meditating nap with your favourite music playing, or choose from a range of calming sounds. Track your sleep cycles, walk steps, energy statistics in the health section. It gathers data from the health app in your phone. Remind yourself to have a little walk every 45 minutes or drink a glass a water every 1 hour using the reminders option.
